Trimwork transformation - see what's possible with trim and finish carpentry https://youtu.be/5u2NqKNMIjk This is a tour of many trim projects we've completed in our previous home. These upgrades elevated the quality of the home and were fun projects to work on. We have detailed videos for some of these projects and you can find links to those in the video description. Enjoy!

Here's a video that's been helpful for many viewers. How to Mix Paint for a Spray Gun https://youtu.be/iPdjoDGe1mk I filmed this to share what I learned from a retired professional finisher. With over 10,000 likes, it's worth watching this 4 minute video.

Want to make your own wedges or shims? https://youtu.be/4VFBvs1x-lI In this video, I show the dangerous ways to make wedges that could cause injury (it make me cringe when I see people do it) and the safe ways to make them. I hope you find this helpful. Post a comment to let me know what you think. Scott

Trim can make all the difference in a home. In this video, I show how to add window sills to windows https://youtu.be/SveIrINSDwk This was our previous home, that originally had no character when we bought it. As you'll see, adding window sills and apron trim dramatically improved the look of the home. Details matter. #windowsills #windowtrim

You don't want to miss this video! https://youtu.be/m13ieOVFJko We had to remove 4 dangerously close trees at our house. I filmed how these professionals do their work, their cool machines, and trees crashing to the ground. It was amazing to watch and I'm excited to share it with you.

Why did we cut these trees down? One was leaning towards the house and caused us a lot of concern during the recent ice storm. Some of them were starting to have structural problems. All of them were too close to the house as Steve, the owner of Aussie Tree Care explains in the video. I even found tree roots under the basement floor. I hope you enjoy the video and share it with others! Scott

Now that we're settled in, it's time to get to work. https://youtu.be/G4Exh6h2RxQ In our latest video, we share all the projects we're going to take on in our Victorian home. There are a mix of big projects (kitchen renovation) and small ones that we're dreaming about. With so many things to do it can be overwhelming where to start. We show how we've organized and prioritized the work and give you some insights into the videos that will be coming ahead on our YouTube channel. Enjoy! Scott & Laurie

A new video this morning from our new Queen Anne Victorian home https://youtu.be/eEOhwvUUv-E We've been told the basement gets wet in the spring when the snow melts, so we wanted to protect our new deep freezer in the laundry room. The solution was a subfloor that floats over the basement floor and allows water to travel underneath it. I show how easy it is to install 2x2 foot subfloor panels as a one-person project. I did this before in our previous home, so I was familiar with the product. Laurie and I hope you enjoy the video, and if you do, please share it with others.
