Hello, Conflict of Nations fans!
I’m shaking things up on my solo campaign series with a new twist: challenges. Because apparently, watching me obliterate everyone with the same old (but effective) strategy — EAA + Strike Fighters + Naval Strike Fighters—gets boring. So, since everyone seems to enjoy watching content creators suffer, I’ve cooked up some challenges to make my life... let’s say, "interesting."
1. Tank Challenge
I’ve always criticized this unit. To beat an enemy with a tank stack, you have to chase them across half the map like a toddler after a balloon, and then you lose units anyway because in contact combat you always lose health. Air forces? They handle this faster and more efficiently. But here’s the deal: I’ll try to win without using any aircraft or artillery (aka the strategies that actually work). Instead, it’ll be just good ol’ ground forces and maybe a navy if I’m feeling fancy. Should be... fun?
2. No Infantry Challenge
Ah, infantry. The cornerstone of most armies and also the bane of my existence. While some players insist motorized infantry should be your first research, I respectfully disagree (and by "respectfully," I mean I don’t). So, I’ll try to win without building a single infantry unit—meaning only those capable of capturing territory. Will this work? Who knows, but at least it’ll be entertaining to watch me try.
I’ve got a few other, less masochistic ideas too—like focusing on helicopters or artillery as my main damage dealers. But let’s be real: the tank and NO-infantry challenges are where the real chaos lies. And honestly, I’m not sure I can pull them off, which makes it even better.
