Christian camps are the place where people are most likely to make a life changing faith decision. Oasis Ministry Ventures began as an effort by former staff, campers, and community leaders to keep the property of The Oaks, a camp in Southern California that was closed due to COVID, in Kingdom service and to continue its ministry to urban youth and families. We have acheived both of these initial goals by alerting Union Rescue Mission to the upcoming sale so their donor could be poised to make a sucessful offer, and by relaunching winter camps at a new location coming out of COVID in March of 2022.
We are now working on expanding Christian camp ministry that empowers urban youth and families.
