While the 38th train of R188s is primarily known for its experimental LED signage, it has played an important role in keeping the (7) line safe and provided the MTA with valuable data about wheel/rail interaction. Tonight’s video focuses on the multiple pieces of hardware installed throughout the train and its journey as the MTA’s “Data Collection Consist.”
