Bad Penny, benannt nach dem gleichnamigen Song des irischen Sängers und Gitarristen Rory Gallagher, ist eine Rostocker Band die besonders durch „eine selbstbewusste Leadgitarre, das beschwingte Akkordeon und das dominante Piano" besticht (GoodTimes, 6/13). In der mehr als zehnjährigen Bandgeschichte sind bisher drei Studio Alben entstanden, in denen der Einsatz verschiedenster Instrumente zu wunderbar „wechselnden Klangfarben" (celtic-rock.de, 1/14) führt.
