HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE! It's a new year and that means new content for all who still enjoy what I do. But this year, I want to hear from YOU! Doesn't matter what it is, I want to hear your ideas on what you want to see from me.
Do you want me to stream video games, daily vlogs...what do YOU like?

I already have ideas based on questions I've gotten from follower/ commenters already. There will definitely be more stuff coming on my 2014 Accord (including potential "mods") as well as other randomness when I get around to it. Comment below what you want to see in 2023 and again, the happiest of New Years to you all!

From The Driveway desk,
Bobby J

ATTENTION CAR GUYS, CAR GIRLS AND FAMILIES ALIKE!

I'm looking to do a toys and food drive on Sunday before Christmas (as I will have a very nice fleet car to drive too for the show).

I'm still searching for a location so this is just a rough draft with a potential location but I need submissions first. Let me know if you would be interested or if you have a good location that would make for a car show/ toy and food drive.

This is all for a good cause and something I've been wanting to do for a very long time! Every little bit of information helps.

Please share this as much as you can so we can have a nice turn out and make Christmas awesome for everyone this year!

Truth be told, I have been keeping a very solid secret from all of you...well secret is a bit of a stretch but to those who have wondered where my personal vehicles are at...let me just let you in on a little teaser.

So in June 2021, I traded in my 2010 Toyota RAV4 Sport and leased a brand new 2022 KIA K5 GT-Line FWD Premium. I paid under MSRP for it, even in the midst of the market going crazy.

I had so many plans to make some content with that car but deep inside and very quickly, I knew I had bit off way more than I could chew. With so many press cars coming in at random times, it made no sense tying up almost $700 a month in payments, gas and insurance when I could drive on other people's gas and drive some very nice cars for weeks at a time.

So only a month or so ago, I sold off my leased K5 back to my local KIA dealership and actually made some money back on it. I then took that money, plus some help from my VERY gracious step-grandmother and my father and purchased myself a pretty rare mid-2010's Japanese sedan. I will leave it up to you as to what car I bought and what makes it so rare.

Hint hint...it's a very well known and respected brand, with one RARE option for it's generation (even more rare in it's trim level). Sorry, I'm not a rich Youtuber, otherwise I'd give out some kind of merch or cash prize for the winning guess lol.

Leave your guesses in the comments below and look out for a video to come out on it VERY soon!

Good Morning Driveway Fam!

From the desk, I'd like to send a huge thank you to everyone who has subscribed and watched this autistic 32 year old make a fool of himself on camera making car reviews :) As of right now, work has been stressing me to the limit and a lack of press vehicles to film has compounded the problem.

I would like to ask everyone (or even anyone seeing this), what kind of content do you want to see from me? I know about the personal vehicles and stuff like that, but I want to do something different. Something that would catch people's eyes a lot more. I don't want to be "just another journalist" doing car reviews, news updates, etc. I want to be someone that sets themselves apart from the rest of the car community.

In that respect, I want to hear from YOU, my subscribers, what ideas do you have for me. Literally could be absolutely ANYTHING, but I want to see what you all think. Drop a comment below with your ideas and who knows, you may see them come to fruition right here!

Questions, questions...SO MANY OF THE SAME QUESTIONS?!

I'm not normally one to rant and I always appreciate every single one of you who supports and watches my autistic car review content (that's not a lie). However those of you wanting to see updates on personal vehicles...CAN YOU PLEASE STOP ASKING ON EVERY POST/ VIDEO I MAKE?

My family is very spread out at the moment (Mom, Sister and Brother all live about 4-5 hours away from me...Dad is several thousand miles away), so it's not like I can just go make videos with their cars whenever I want. Not to mention, I work 45-50 hours a week and it's hard enough as it is to make car reviews with the press cars I get.

Again, I'm not angry, nor would I ever lash out at a single person unless you give me a very good reason to, but certain questions just become very tiring.

Thank you to everyone who has been/ is supporting me and I look forward to bringing you more content and new types of videos in the future!

So I've been putting some serious thought lately, into buying and selling inexpensive vehicles to help out people in the local communities during these hard times. As we all know, the car market has been going crazy lately and not everyone has all the money to purchase a vehicle from a dealership.

I've been contact with the local ‪@CopartTV‬ auction here in Houston and they have TONS of reasonable vehicles to choose from. However this isn't ‪@AutoAuctionRebuilds‬, so I'm mainly looking for vehicles that need a little bit of TLC and a good service to re-sell to those needing transportation. So my question is, with the resources I have right now, is this even a good idea...or do you all just think I'm crazy? Of course there would be videos on the cars as well!

So over the past few months, I've been racking my brain figuring out what type of content you all want to see. It's become increasingly difficult for me to appease so many click-bait lovers out there, I'm not sure where to begin. I want as much variety as possible but still staying true to the roots of where I started. What ideas do you have for me that could potentially help me improve and spread my content more thoroughly?

No insults please...it's hard enough balancing Youtube with 50-60 hour work weeks at times.

Its Auto Show time again! Next Wednesday (May 19, 2021), I will be joining other media members for the first look at all the new cars at the 2021 Houston Auto Show!

So here's my question to yall, what cars would you like me to film while I'm there? I won't have a ton of time but I want to squeeze in as much as I can!

Comment your answers below!

I want to ask you all a very serious question...and please don't hold back with your answers. Are my car reviews really that bad? I'm not asking for a pity party or some GLOWING answer...I just want the truth.

When I started doing these videos-turned-car reviews back in the late 2000's, I simply wanted to express my love for cars and the automotive industry in my own way. Unsurprisingly, I caught a lot of flack for doing videos like someone else (*ahem* ‪@saabkyle04‬) and looking back I know full well I was wrong to plagerize another creators style, but now my views have changed. As a slightly autistic, depression-ridden 31 year old wanting to fulfill my goal of being a professional automotive journalist, my reviews are my outlet and sort of therapy, plain and simple. Plus my day job of selling cars doesn't always pay the rent every time, so Youtube definitely is helping.

Sure I don't have the cinematic glamour shots and presenter chemistry like my "heroes" at ‪@ThrottleHouse‬ or ‪@theredline‬ or even the unrelenting energetic pizazz of my other favorites like ‪@ThatDudeinBlue‬, ‪@DougDeMuro‬, ‪@goldpony‬, ‪@seenthroughglass‬ or ‪@Shmee150‬, but you guys have to understand from my perspective, I'm just an average joe that's trying to make my own splash in the automotive Youtube world by sharing my passion with you...and I just don't feel like I'm getting anywhere these days (and that includes with my loving girlfriend pushing me to keep doing my videos).

So in your own words, would you say that Youtube just isn't my thing? That I shouldn't keep trying? Or do I just need to put my head down, keep going and see what happens. Please let me know in the comments below. Thank you all for listening (those who did), thanks for watching and hope everyone is doing wonderful.
