Hi Everyone,

I'd like to take a moment to recommend a fellow YouTube channel. The channel is called β€ͺ@scifistories1977‬ and they post regular science fiction stories for you to listen to while you walk the dog!

If you like Science Fiction like I do, go and check them out. I'd personally recommend this story "The Final Stand" (link below) but they have lots on their channel to choose from.

Please check them out and let me know if you like their content.

Take it easy!

πŸ“’ Big announcement! πŸŽ‰ I'm going live on YouTube next Monday, 19th June at 12:30 PM!

πŸ” I'll be diving into how to use Ansible for managing Windows servers. This is a hands-on session designed to enhance your understanding of IT automation.

Subscribe to Comment and ask questions.

During this live stream, I will walk you through:

- Building our setup from scratch with a newly minted Ubuntu 22.04 server and a Windows Server 2022.
- Setting up a Python virtual environment on our Ubuntu server.
- Installing Ansible and the required pip modules.
- Configuring Ansible to establish a connection to our Windows server over WinRM using a self-signed certificate.
- Executing some basic tasks on the Windows server using a variety of Ansible playbooks.

πŸ‘¨β€πŸ’» This session is a must-watch for anyone interested in IT automation, Ansible, or managing Windows servers.

πŸ—“οΈ Save the date and don't miss out on this opportunity to expand your knowledge and get answers to your questions live!

See you there, let's automate the world together! πŸš€

Hey Subscribers! 🌟

I'm thrilled to announce that after months of hard work and countless late nights, I've finally launched my DevOps Manager game! πŸš€ A huge shoutout to #chatGPT for helping me throughout this incredible journey. πŸ€–

In this game, you'll step into the shoes of a DevOps manager and assemble a stellar team of developers and engineers to tackle the dynamic challenges of software development and deployment. πŸ’»πŸŒ

Now available on the Android Play Store (with the Apple App Store release just around the corner), this game is completely AD-FREE! To support me in creating more content and hosting meetups, I'm asking for a small contribution of £1.49 - every penny counts! 😊

Download here: play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=londoniac.co…
Game walkthrough: https://youtu.be/JdsM_bQM2qM

I'd be incredibly grateful if you could download the game, give it a spin, and leave a 5-star review on the Play Store. 🌟 Don't forget to share your score on Twitter after completing the game (when you get your final score, simply press the button to share on twitter). Get ready to put your technical knowledge to the test and earn promotions! πŸ†

This game is not just fun but also filled with witty moments to make you chuckle! πŸ˜„

As an active developer, I'm eager to hear your feedback and suggestions for improvements. If you have ideas or features you'd like to see, let's collaborate and bring them to life in the game! πŸ’‘

Thank you for your support, and I can't wait to hear your thoughts! πŸ‘‹

Dennis

Hey everyone! I'm excited to announce that I'll be hosting a live stream in the next few weeks where we'll be testing out chatGPT.

This is your chance to join in and see if this AI tool can really write code as good as a human.

We'll be using Google Meet to communicate (voice only, no webcams) and I'll have a couple of servers ready to run some tests.

Let's find out once and for all if our jobs are safe or if chatGPT is going to take over the world! If you want to join in on the fun, I'll be posting more details about the live stream shortly!

Comment below about what you'd like me to test and I'll hopefully be able to add it into the live stream.

On Thursday 15th September, LondonIAC are teaming up with G-Research for our latest meetup and will be holding the event onsite at their London Headquarters near Goodge Street. G-Research will be providing the refreshments and also the Pizza as we get back into the swing of learning something new and having an opportunity to network with our peers again.

It would be great if you can join us!

RSVP on this link: www.meetup.com/londoniac/events/286748987?utm_medi…

Agenda:
18:00: G-Research Opens their doors. Grab a drink and have a chat with the other attendees as they arrive. I'll be there to meet you when you arrive and so will the Pizza.

18:20: - Introduction by Dennis McCarthy.
I'm excited to welcome you all back after such a long time away!

18:25: A word from our Sponsors - G-Research would like to welcome you to their office and say a few words before we begin the talks.

18:30: Automating audit and compliance benchmarks - Mark Bolwell.
Using ansible to drive system compliance auditing and compliance for recognised security benchmarks.

19:15 - If you can - doesn't mean you should: lessons from terraforming clouds - Natalie Godec.
We all love automation; the fewer steps needed to get something deployed - the better. Even if it means abstraction layer on top of abstraction layer - we all love our abstraction layers. Terraform, modules, wrappers and orchestration tools allow for an increasingly more sophisticated code - but where do you draw the line?
In this talk, we will explore the boundaries of infrastructure as code and look for the balance between abstraction and maintainability.

19:45: - Closing comments.

Now, it's time to grab a drink and have a chat with your fellow attendees and the speakers.
