What is the Current Divider Rule?
In this post, we break down the Current Divider Rule, a key concept for working with parallel circuits. The rule helps us calculate the current flowing through each branch when a total current (It) is applied to parallel branches.
For two parallel branches, you can use these formulas to find the current for each branch:
I1 = It × (R2 / (R1 + R2))
I2 = It × (R1 / (R1 + R2))
