TL;DR: I deleted the Silent Hill videos because they were getting far too much traction for me to handle. I personally don't like those videos and I couldn't stand that 9/10 interactions I got on my channel could be linked back to those videos. The full volumes are still available for download on google drive and I'm totally fine with people reuploading them. Link to Archive: drive.google.com/drive/folders/13BonBmJi_zSH3KZc3Sā¦
Longer Explanation: When I first made Volume 1, it took maybe about an hour and a half to make, I was just bored and I thought the idea was kind of cool, but I would have never thought it would have gotten to the heights it did. After the volumes were posted I began to use this channel to create more artistic endeavors that I personally enjoy and find fulfilling, the Volumes were neither of those. I have posted several videos since then that have taken me countless hours, weeks and sometimes months to make, but all of the attention still went to these videos I personally find very lazy and uninspired. Seeing my subscriber count grow as the viewer count on my newer videos dwindled was devastating, I don't make videos just for attention or money (I'm not even monetized) but knowing that not even a quarter of the people who followed me wanted to watch them chipped away at me and made me feel like I was failing at every turn no matter how hard I tried.
The existence of Silent Hill Alt-Rock volumes 1 and 2 have been a serious burden when it comes to creating new videos for me, it's caused me to go into a depression multiple times, but I kept the videos up out of fear of backlash. The reality is I will likely lose a large amount of subscribers in the coming months but I've come to except that, as I would rather have a smaller audience that cares about the weird shit I make than a large one that doesn't. A part of me expected to get multiple angry comments but I'll I've gotten were 2 very kind and understanding comments that were saddened by the removal of the videos, I just want to say thank you to those 2 people for not reinforcing my bonkers ass anxiety filled delusions.
The best part of Silent Hill Alt-Rock was seeing people make their own versions and saying that they have burned the volumes onto CDs and cassettes. Why I love YouTube is seeing everyday people be creative, these acts of creativity can spread worldwide and knowing that I have played a role in such a thing makes me very happy, I hope ya'll will continue to make whatever comes to your mind in the future.

Update: First things first, I want to finally get this out there, I am not making another Silent Hill volume. I'm grateful for the attention it's gotten but it's just not the type of video I enjoy making. However, I did revise a playlist that contains songs from bands that make similar music, it's much more accurate now and has a pretty good selection: youtube.com/playlist?list=PLa...
Secondly, I haven't posted anything in a while but I am working on new stuff. I'm doing a soft-restart for this channel, I'm going to make mostly horror video game related edits with the occasional exception. So no more low quality shitposts. I don't know when I'll start posting again but I'll do weekly uploads for a while when I do. Cya āļø
