Welcome to Black Pool Studio, although we started out as Essence of the Keys travel channel somehow we morphed into a making channel. We do wood working and knife making as well as pen turning and occasional metal fab. We will keep Essence of the Keys as a travel channel and will relaunch it in the near future.
Come alone with us as we make random things from wood, metal and even leather.
The name Black Pool come from the Irish name for Dublin. It is a nod to our Irish roots. I know everyone in the world can claim Irish heritage but this is our nod to our family roots. Slán go fóill (pronounced Slan ga fole)
