๐ฃWomenโs rights are human rights! Removing a womanโs right to choose, her right to seek safe and legal abortion and to have autonomy over her own body, is essentially removing her human rights.
A key target for Goal 5, Gender Equality, is to ensure every woman has universal access to sexual and reproductive health, and the reversal of Roe vs Wade threatens every progress made in this area. We cannot be silent on this matter when so many lives are at risk.

Today is #WorldWildlifeDay, an important moment to reflect upon the million species of wild flora & fauna that are threatened with extinction.๐ฟ๐ฆง๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ต
The recent #IPCC climate report shows that out of 4,000 species studied, 50% have had their habitats shifted by climate change. As it stands, it is suggested that over a million species are threatened with extinction. ๐ฅ
Continued loss of habitats and ecosystems not just threatens the life of animals on Earth, but humans too. From food, to fuel, medicines, housing, and clothing.
We must drive action and change that will reverse the fate for us, critically endangered species and lead to the restoration of habitats and ecosystems.

Equal pay, freedom movement and other fundamental legal rights to women should be offered across the world, not in a handful of places that can be counted on our fingers. โ

Hundred thousands of people across the globe have been standing in solidarity with those in #Ukraine and for an end to the war.
The power of peaceful protesting should not be underestimated in achieving peace and justice around the world. Peaceful protests have been and still are an integral way of pressuring decision-makers to do more, to show that we wonโt stand for injustice, inequality and inaction. There is power in numbers and when these voices become a collective, they are heard. #Goal16.
Today is the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, and also the first day of #16Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence.
For us to achieve #Goal5: #genderequality, it is key to end all forms of violence against women and girls. ๐ฃ
Over the next 16 Days, we will be sharing stories, solutions and hopes for a world where gender-based violence does not exist. This is a time to bring women, marginalised genders as well as men from organisations to individuals around the world together, and remember that without gender equality, the 17 Global Goals cannot be achieved.
Ending gender-based violence must be at the top of everyoneโs to-do list, not just for the next 16 days, but every day, every year. ๐ฅ

In September, 193 world leaders will commit to a set of global goals which are ambitious targets to end extreme poverty, fight inequalities and tackle climate change for everyone by 2030. Richard Curtis intends to try and tell 7 billion people in 7 days about them - 26th Sep - 2nd Oct. The more famous these global goals are, and the more widely they are understood by everyone, the more politicians will take them seriously, finance them properly, refer to them frequently and make them work for EVERYONE.
