For my physically active sisters, has anyone heard of the mini stepper? Have you tried it? Do you like it? Is there anyone to follow for fitness routines?

Did you watch my latest video on Christian Dating? If so, do you think the original author was calling for a prohibition on Christian girls getting flewed out? OR was she charging Christian girls to not get flewed out AND also abstain from new, exciting life experiences altogether with men who are not their husbands. Thoughts?

Recently, I feel like it was the Lord that took the time to explain to me speaking the truth in love. When addressing sin we have to remember we are dealing with someone who has turned to forbidden actions to cope with pain. When rebuking sin, you are necessarily poking at pain (and even trauma). Many of us have developed maladaptive coping mechanisms to address a pain that we feel otherwise unable to process through. The woman who abuses food and embraces gluttony is likely doing that because she is in pain. The man who abuses alcohol and embraces drunkenness is doing that because he is in pain. The one who practices sexual lewdness and embraces sexual immorality is doing that because they are in pain. When confronting sin, we are necessarily confronting pain. And while the pain in others does not change what God's Word has said, the awareness of their pain informs *the way* we share what God has said. Hence, speaking the truth in love. We hold fast to the Word of God and share it with the most gentle touch we can muster... because we are poking at wounds. Open wounds that we know are not yet healed because, well, they (we) are still sinning.

Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ.
Ephesians 4:15

I thank God that he has spoken His laws to me in love and has been faithful to pull up every ugly root of sin planted in me. Let's be faithful to admonish one another in love and bring yet more of our Father's sheep into the fold through the truth and love.

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.

This past week I've been reading through the book of Ezekiel and all the rebukes the Lord had stacked up for the nation of Israel. I came across something most peculiar:

“Behold, everyone who uses proverbs will use this proverb about you: ‘Like mother, like daughter.’ You are the daughter of your mother, who loathed her husband and her children; and you are the sister of your sisters, who loathed their husbands and their children. Your mother was a Hittite and your father an Amorite.
Ezekiel 16:44-45

It brought to mind how we, as daughters of the Father, are instructed through the following:
"Older women, likewise, are to be reverent in their behavior, not slanderers or addicted to much wine, but teachers of good. In this way they can train the young women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled, pure, managers of their households, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, so that the word of God will not be discredited."
Titus 2:3-5

It made me start thinking ... could it be, that women, apart from the Lord and without righteous instruction, can be inclined to have contempt for or "loathe" our husbands and children as recorded in Ezekiel? Are we seeing a shift in our own nation where women are being encouraged to "loathe" husbands and marriage by extension? Are we being cheered in loathing our children and even the thought of having children all together? I cant say for sure, but I hope that we as a people, do not follow in the mistakes of those who came before us sinning against the Lord by hating our husbands and our children. May the Holy Spirit stir our hearts to not begrugdingly, but joyfully, obey Him in the realm of home and family. May we not be deceived into believing that their is gain in holding marriage and children in contempt. May we never celebrate or settle into loathing our husbands and children. May our desire to honor the Lord and His name drive us to love our husbands and children in all sincerity and service to our Father. Amen!
