You know when you're having tonnes of fun with a game, and you wonder what you're gonna do when it's over? Well for me right now, that is Final Fantasy VII Rebirth.

Hey guys. Bit of an update for you today.
First of all an enormous thank you for all the love and support following my health update on the last video. I'm genuinely touched by your kindness and understanding.
I'm hoping my next video will be with you sometime in the next 2 weeks. Work on this one has been much slower than usual (thanks cancer) but itโs also shaping up to be quite special, and potentially quite lengthy (first draft clocks in at about 30 minutes).
Part of me has wanted to rush something out, because I don't like leaving long gaps between content, and the new years slump has hit my viewing figures HARD. If there's one upside to my illness here, I'm literally not able to force myself to do anything at the moment. If I can then I can but if I can't then I really can't.
So whilst this video is taking longer, I'm gonna try to make it as special as I can and hopefully make it worth the wait ๐
Thank you all for your responses on the Souls Poll too. In case you hadn't guessed, Souls content will feature prominently in the opening of this video, before it opens up into a much larger topic.

Have you played a game in the last 12 months that genuinely surprised you?
It can be for any reason. A style, a mechanic, the story, a character. Just something that made you sit up and take notice. A โhuh, thatโs newโ moment.
Indie games are expected but Iโm especially interested in AAA games that really blew your mind.
