How We Accidentally Created Our Most Successful YouTube Video
I wanted to share a quick story with you.

Here’s the crazy part – we filmed this back in 2020 when the shop was shut down due to COVID. My wife and I were bored with nothing else to do, so we thought, “Why not make a video?” Plus, I needed a haircut anyway!
We didn’t have fancy cameras, editing skills, or even much experience on YouTube. In fact, we didn’t expect the video to do well at all.
But guess what? It’s still the top-performing video on our channel today, despite spending thousands on professional videographers and editors for other videos. This experience taught me a valuable lesson:
Production value DOES NOT matter.
People watch videos for two reasons:
Entertainment
Education
That’s it. They don’t care about your camera or how polished your editing is.

Personally, I love this second video more, but here’s another hard truth I learned:
It’s not about what I like. It’s about what the audience likes.
If your video provides value, it will perform well – simple as that.
