Welcome to the channel of The Music Writer. I'm a philosopher and cultural studies scholar, but not a musician in the traditional sense, as I don't have a formal music education, despite graduating from a conservatory. It may seem odd, but I studied philosophy of culture, not composition or harmony. I've taught myself composition and harmony on the side as a form of leisure and enjoyment. For Boethius, philosophy was a source of solace; for me, both music and philosophy provide comfort. Many find solace and joy in music, so it's no surprise that non-musicians "write" and "play" music.
On this channel, I'll be sharing my experiments in composition, form, and harmony across various musical genres, including symphonic and chamber music, ranging from symphonic poems to bagatelles.
Enjoy the listening experience!
