Gene Watson was born in Palestine, Texas, in 1943. He began his music career in the early 1970s, performing in local clubs at night while working in a Houston auto body shop during the day. Now, 51 years later Gene is still going stronger than ever and is described among country artists and fans alike as "The Singer's Singer"
