A new year and a new start for the garden!

Welcome to the wonderful world of organic gardening here in the green and pleasant land that is Staffordshire, UK .... well I say wonderful but there are inevitable pitfalls. I'm passionate about working alongside nature - whether that be through planting, natural deterrents or encouraging wildlife - so rather than clean lines and tidy minds the allotment is more of a jumble for the senses! I'm usually joined by my favourite old timer - Rocky the dog, but also have the company of our rag tag bunch of chickens and even a frog or two at the pond. Husband Mike has now taken over his own plot and is performing miracles by turning it from an overgrown jungle to a productive plot - expect lots of comparing and contrasting along the way.
