Why did Rebecca Shelly create this channel?
She wanted the opportunity to share with others her newfound love of Fiber Arts.
Then, in 2024 she learned that she has Hereditary Spastic Paraplegia. This means that she will eventually lose her ability to walk. She is determined not to let this lose her love of teaching, creating and exploring life.
In 2025, she found out that she also has ADHD (Inattentive type). Her entire life made more sense:
- - She always needed to be using her hands: Drawing, painting, spinning, knitting, etc.
- - Doodling was how she was able to handle waiting.
- - Piles surround her; laundry (first dirty, then clean -- not in drawers), tools, unfinished projects (possibly over 100 of them!)
- - Upset when her creative process is disturbed.
- - She hates cooking on the fly.
- - Always late!
She now is focusing on enjoying these creative processes with the ADHD understanding.
