The Singapore Symphony Orchestra is excited to announce the appointment of Finnish conductor Hannu Lintu as its new Music Director with effect from the 2026/27 season. He will be appointed for an initial three-year term, and takes over from Maestro Hans Graf, who has decided to end his tenure with the 2025/26 season.

โ€œI am delighted to be joining the Singapore Symphony Orchestra as its next Music Director,โ€ said Lintu. โ€œThe SSO is an orchestra with a vibrant energy as well as a passion and dedication to artistic growth. I look forward to collaborating with these wonderful musicians and the wider community, and to exploring new creative heights and engaging deeply with audiences both here in Singapore and internationally.โ€ Lintu's appointment marks a new chapter for the SSO as the orchestra continues to expand its artistic reach and deepen its connection with local and international audiences.

It's been 1 year since we launched our Members' Channel on the Singapore Symphony YouTube! To celebrate, we are releasing this Stravinsky Violin Concerto video tonight for members, starring the effervescent He Ziyu. Stay till the end (or click that chapter if you can't wait) to watch his encore!

If you are a new member, we also recommend the Kozล‚owski Requiem - one of our first member-exclusive videos.
