I find it absolutely ridiculous that Metro North commuters that want to go to see a Mets game in Queens have to pay another fare at a cheap price rather than the combo ticket package by taking Metro North to Grand Central and transfer at Grand Central to the Long Island Railroad it’s ridiculous like an example of having direct service for Mets fans to and from 161st Street-Yankee Stadium is seen in the first picture where a Mets style R33 Redbird 7 train from the NYCT Museum was running along Lexington Avenue and Jerome Avenue as well as the Grand Concourse with the 4 for the Subway Series but the MTA can’t even have Metro North trains go into Queens for Westchester Putnam and Bronx residents to have a more convenient ride over there. My proposal is this and I hope that the MTA is listening have another station set at Grand Central for service into Queens so that all residents outside of the Long Island and Queens can come into Queens and Long Island from Putnam Dutchess Westchester and The Bronx including part of Manhattan and not have to worry about having to pay for another ticket and having to transfer train services. This is absolutely unacceptable I do like the East Side Access project being here and having the West Side Access underway still and having the Second Avenue Subway coming soon but we want to see more for Metro North by getting trains over to Queens and not just cover going up north from Manhattan but also west of Manhattan to share with the Long Island Railroad. Because I was at a Mets game and I had to transfer trains multiple times and it’s so inconvenient like look at Metro North with direct service to Yankee Stadium for everyone on Metro North such as Hudson Harlem and New Haven lines but let’s get people that live in CT to Queens for a Mets game not just a Yankee game, let’s get Red Sox fans not just to The Bronx and Queens for those games that are hosted in those two boroughs but also to Boston to Fenway Park. Absolutely outrageous! MTA NEEDS TO WORK ON GETTING DIRECT SERVICE TO QUEENS FROM CONNECTICUT THE BRONX PUTNAM MANHATTAN (UPPER MANHATTAN IN PARTICULAR) AND WESTCHESTER! LETS DO SOMETHING SIMILAR TO WHAT WE HAVE AT YANKEE STADIUM (YANKEES-EAST 153RD STREET) MTA YOU BETTER DO THIS FOR THE CONVENIENCE FOR EVERYONE THAT TAKES METRO NORTH!

So I edited an image where Violet and Dash Parr are both holding up their Yankee jerseys so Violet holding up Trey Amburgey’s jersey from the Yankees back in 2021 and Dash holding up Harrison Bader’s jersey from the Yankees back in 2022-2023 so if these two characters were real their numbers would be 22 and 95. Violet Parr would get number 95 because she makes me think of Yankees right fielder Oswaldo Cabrera and Dash would get number 22 because number 2 was retired by the 15th captain Derek Jeter since Dash worn number 2 in 5th grade track and field at the end of the 2004 movie and at the beginning of the 2018 movie. Dash would return number 22 to be a pitching number like how Roger Clemens was a pitcher wearing number 22 on the Yankees. Violet would come in to pitch a few times as number 95. Now if you take a look back at Oswald Peraza’s jersey number from 2008 and 2009 it was last worn by Alfredo Aceves as a pitching number aka number 91. Number 66 wasn’t yet a catching nor pitching number in the late 2000s before and after the old Yankee Stadium closed. Number 77 was a pitching number in 2008 when Humberto Sanchez worn it but 9 years later Clint Frazier took number 77 and was an outfielder but then Anthony Volpe came in to wearing number 77 in the 2023 Spring Training games but now wears number 11 last worn by Brett Gardner who was a rookie back in 2008 when the Old Yankee Stadium was still standing, Gardner was the very last rookie to join the Yankees before the final closure of the old Yankee Stadium. You can tell why Brett lasted 13 years in the MLB with the Yankees from 2008-2021.

Today is the 77th anniversary of Jackie Robinson’s debut with the Brooklyn Dodgers whom originally played with the Montreal Royals as number 9 but when he entered the Dodgers he worn number 42. He passed away in 1972 at the age of 52 or 53 from a severe cardiac arrest. He was taken to Kings County Hospital or possibly Belvue Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival on that day. To this day another person whom was named after Jackie Robinson who’s name is Robinson Cano came to the Yankees originally as number 22 but changed his number to number 24 because he wanted to honor Jackie Robinson. On September 21st 2008 another honoree that honored Jackie Robinson was Mariano Rivera whom was wearing number 42 and he recorded the final 3 outs at the final game at the old Yankee Stadium. When Robbie Cano was traded he went back to number 22 but came back to New York but to play as a Met at Citi Field which was his dream to fully honor Jackie Robinson by wearing number 24 and being at a replica of the long gone but never forgotten Ebbets Field. Unfortunately Cano was suspended for 80 games for taking steroids but he retired from the MLB and now plays professional baseball in Mexico, he still wears number 24 to this day and will never give up on wearing number 24. If Cano was to be traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers (former Brooklyn Dodgers) he could’ve worn number 24 if it wasn’t retired on the Dodgers just like the number 42. But the number 24 was retired in LA because of another baseball player from the Dodgers and not just for the late basketball athlete Kolbe Bryant. RIP Jackie Robinson 1919-1972
