My friend and fellow YouTuber, Simon Clark (who is a proper scientist with a PhD in atmospheric physics, not a hack like me!), has just published a pretty epic video that charts one possible (very optimistic, but not impossible) global scenario right through to 2100, including all aspects of climate change, geopolitics, and socio-economic dynamics in all regions of the planet, looking at how all those interactions might just combine to get our species to the end of the century with some kind of chance of surviving and moving forward into a slightly more constructive and sustainable future.
You might conclude that the content of the video represents an unachievable dream, given the shenanigans we are witnessing at COP28 right now, but I would argue that if you don't have a vison of where you want to get to, then you've got ZERO chance of getting there haven't you?
It's well worth a watch if you have a spare hour this morning.

This channel seeks to understand the issues that face our civilisation in the 21st Century and focusses on the potential solutions that will save as many lives as possible and hopefully bring about a greater level of equality in the world. The channel is not a debating forum about whether Human Induced Climate Change is a real phenomenon or not. If that's what you're after then I can highly recommend chat forums on Social Media, where people on both sides of the argument go round and round in circles achieving precisely nothing at all.
That is a mug's game. And it's not my game.
Anyway, outside of those caveats, I do try to keep it light and humorous wherever possible, so I hope you enjoy the content.
