If you're on the wrong climb right now...
Sometimes, we put our ladder on a building and begin the climb, only to find out halfway up that itâs the wrong building.
Itâs okay if you realize you need to pivot but canât do it right now. You need to make good on the decisions you've made.
Make a note of the building you want to move your ladder to because that day will come.
But donât discount the rest of your current climb.
You donât know what the second half of this ladder holds for you yet. Whatever happens will be valuable for you to take forward on any journey.
When the time comes, you can take the elevator down and move that ladder to the right place.
Youâll begin to climb again.
And youâll be more prepared, committed, and experienced when you do.
Make good decisions and then see them through to the best of your ability. It will always pay off.
If this year is to be different, ask yourself one simple question:
Who do I want to become?
Without this clarity:
- the resolutions resolve nothing
- the goals are just dust-collecting tasks
- and your mind is an indecisive, limiting playback of the old hits that have kept you where you are today
Know who you're becoming and when presented with life's choices, do anything you can to inch that person closer to where you are now.
