Urinals flushing. Welcome to YouTube's dullest channel. 😉
Public conveniences in the form we recognise today only became widespread in the late 19th century with the advent of running water and sewers. Space-saving communal urinals were increasingly provided in workplaces, schools, parks, pubs, railway stations and other public places, using the same technology as the flush toilet to dispose of waste. The periodic and automatic flushing of troughs or groups of fixtures by means of an automatic syphon remains common to this day in Britain and Ireland.
There are lots of toilet channels featuring every kind of WC just about anywhere in the world, but urinals often get overlooked. With traditional cistern flush urinals now threatened by the move to 'water free' or even being ripped out altogether in favour of 'unisex' facilities, I aim to document as many as I can. WCs may also feature on some videos.
