This is powerful!! Sometimes we forget lingering makes the difference between a quick check in or intimacy/ deep transformation and revelation with God.
Exodus 33:11 says
”So the Lord spoke to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend. And he would return to the camp, but his servant Joshua the son of Nun, a young man, did not depart from the tabernacle.“
Moses didn’t make it into the promise land but Joshua did. Joshua didn’t just make it in, he conquered the land and led the people!!!
The difference between them lies in the tent. Which one are you? Do you linger and abide in the presence of the Lord or do you just pop by to say hi? Have you discliplined yourself to wait on the Lord?
Now is the time to speak to God face to face like Moses but linger like Joshua so when the spies return with reports of fear your heart will be filled with the good report of the Lord!!!!
