Women are not made whole by men. Women are made whole the moment they enter this world. Women matter on their own, not in relation to a man. We all deserve the rights to bodily autonomy and to be treated with respect and dignity. To say, "stop" and be heard. Instead of pushed, derided and told that a man knows more about our basic rights and desires than we do."

"We Women, powerful and sacred declare, our heavenly bodies belong solely to us. We shall choose who to love and with whom to share trust. We shall walk upon this earth with grace and respect. We'll always take pride in our great intellect. We'll honor our emotions so our spirits may soar and if any man belittles us, We'll show him the door. Our spirits unbreakable our imaginations free. Blessed to be Women are we."

I am in the presence of the butterfly
I am held captive under her wings.
And it is God that blows the gold dust off of the trees.
I am in the presence of the butterfly
And I am free from entity.
I am no one. Neither past nor present, drowning the future in the creek of past lives.
I am in the presence of the butterfly
And I know trancendance in the death of time and the birth of experience.
There is no such thing as age.
I was conceived now and yesterday.
And will forever be pressed in the pages of your scrap book.
Dusty Butterfly Wings.
I am in the presence of the butterfly and my soul sings outward to the divine and inward to the infinite.
A loop forever like the knots in my hair
Like the birch moss dripping down the roots of my fingers and reaching through my skin.
Holding me in the sweet embrace of honey suckle summertime. Where time dies and life is reborn.
And the cold blows of winter, no love in its heart, is but a wicked fairytale blown away by the hurricane of a thousand butterfly wings.
I Am Safe And Warm.
I am in the presence of the butterfly.
The spirit of Ophelia posesses me.
Sinking softly in a creek with the blue sky overhead.
In the presence of the butterfly I pray to soon be dead.
That I may be reborn into the hurricane of a thousand butterfly wings.
It is -23 degrees and dropping here in Canada tonight and I am so cold. I find it very hard to do things in this weather. I'm very tired but I found myself transported to the summer time and the forest while resting today to some nature meditation sounds. I wrote this poem to serve as a healing mantra. It just kept repeating over and over again in my head as I took in all the details of my memory. How the water felt against my face. The warmth of the sun. The person I was for once burried underwater and finally human again. All these things bring me hope and the butterfly a symbol of rebirth. It really did happen a couple years ago lying in creek on a very hot summer day, a beautiful monarch butterfly nearly rested on my nose and trully for a moment I was in the presence of the butterfly.
I hope this poem brings a glimmer of warmth to your day no matter how cold it feels right now. ππππΌπΌπΌ
