My trip to Asia taught me a big lesson about getting more leads for local businesses. That lesson was...

Local businesses need to ask for more Google reviews.

How did I learn this lesson by going to Asia, you ask?

In Asia, especially in tourist spots like Bali,

I would go out to eat at a restaurant.

And before I even realized it, the restaurant told me to leave a Google review 7 different times.

There's a plaque displayed on my table that says "Leave us a Google review" with a QR code.

The waitress says, "You can get a 15% discount on your next visit if you leave a Google review."

On the menu, it says, "Like our food? Leave us a review on Google!"

And on and on.

You get the point.

I left Asia without ever having left more Google reviews in my LIFE.

It was GENIUS marketing.

The local business culture in Asia had such a strong emphasis on Google reviews.

And rightfully so.

Because.

More reviews = more customers.

Why?

Because people trust people.

It's human nature.

People don't trust companies unless other people trust them too.

Let's take a plumbing company in Sarasota, FL, for example.

Bill Plumbing has 31 reviews and 4.7 stars on Google.

Dill Plumbing has 237 reviews and 4.5 stars on Google.

You will likely go with Dill. I know I would.

Even though Dill Plumbing has a lower rating, I'd still go with him because it seems more people TRUST Dill.

So, are you getting enough Google reviews?

I bet you can get more.

Put a marketing system in place that gets these reviews.

And make it so easy for your customers to write a review that it would be almost lazy for them not to.

P.S. Customer reviews are one thing NO ONE can take away from you. Not your competitors. Not even AI.

93% of Shopify stores get ZERO organic traffic. That's a lot of missed sales. 😭

That's right.

93%.

So it's honestly not hard to outbeat the competition in the e-commerce space.

Here's how:
Stores with good SEO get 10x more SALES.

SEO gets your Shopify store to rank higher on Google for a word your next customer is searching for.

Imagine 10x your current revenue.
Just from organic traffic (not spending any money on paid ads)...

Picture this:
You're a sustainable water bottle eCommerce store.
Your next customer opens Google on their laptop with their credit card on their desk.
They search "water bottles that help the environment".
Your website ranks No. 1 on the 1st page of Google for that.
Your next customer clicks your site.
Your next customer buys your product.

It's as simple as that.

But still, the implementation is what owners struggle with.

I had a client facing the same challenge.
Had to do the work anyway.
So I recorded it.

Why?

Because I know other Shopify store owners are fighting this battle too.

Here's the amazing thing:
I sped up the whole process with AI.

No, AI can't replace everything.
But with the right prompts and a solid tutorial from an SEO growth expert like myself?

You'll be able to get some results.

Want to steal my entire process?
It's all in my new YouTube video: "AI SEO for Your Shopify Store"

-- Get the SEO basics down.
-- Use AI to not waste all your time.
-- You'll see an increase in rankings aka leading to more money in your pocket.

I GUARANTEE it.

Step 1. Watch now.
Step 2. Implement today.
Step 3. Outrank tomorrow.

Want to be in the top 7%?
Then watch it.

Don't be a statistic. Be a success story.
Your Shopify store will thank you.

Did you know that 92% of SaaS startups fail within 3 years? Shocking, right?

But most of these failures aren't due to bad products.
It's #poormarketing that kills them.

Here are the steps that will separate you from the 8% who thrive from the 92% who dive.

Welcome to #SaaSMarketing 101...

1-- Nail Your Ideal Customer Profile (ICP)

* Use tools like Clearbit or FullContact to enrich your customer data

* Analyze your top 20% of customers: What industries are they in? Company size? Job titles?

* Create detailed buyer personas including demographics, psychographics, + behavior patterns

2-- Value Proposition Crafting

What makes you different? If you can't explain it in 10 seconds, go back to the drawing board.

3-- Content Marketing on Steroids

*Use Ahrefs to identify high-volume, low-competition keywords

*Create a content calendar with 70% educational, 20% inspirational, + 10% promotional content

*Repurpose content across multiple formats: blog posts into infographics, videos into podcasts, etc.

4-- #SEO that Actually Works

Already have a website?
Conduct a technical SEO audit using Screaming Frog

Then,
implement schema markup for rich snippets in search results

Next,
build quality backlinks through guest posting, broken link building, + digital PR

5-- Email Marketing That Doesn't Suck

* Segment your list (one-size-fits-all is so last decade)
* Personalize your messages (I don't just mean using their first name)
* Provide value in every. single. email.

6-- Social Media that Converts

* Focus on LinkedIn for B2B SaaS
* Use Twitter for real-time customer support + industry conversations
* Leverage employee advocacy:
encourage team members to share company content

7-- Paid Advertising Strategies

Start with...
a daily budget of $50-100 for Google Ads or LinkedIn Ads

Second,
target long-tail keywords with commercial intent for higher conversion rates

Third,
set up conversion tracking and aim for a CPA (Cost Per Acquisition) below 1/3 of your Customer Lifetime Value

8-- Analytics and Optimization

* Set up Google Analytics 4 + Google Tag Manager for comprehensive tracking
* Monitor key SaaS metrics: MRR, Churn Rate, CAC, LTV, and ARPU
* Use tools like Hotjar or Fullstory for user behavior analysis

9-- Customer Success = #Marketing Success

* implement an NPS (Net Promoter Score) system
--> Aim for a score above 50

* create a referral program offering incentives for both referrer and referee

* develop case studies highlighting quantifiable results:

"Company X increased productivity by 45% using our software"

10-- Find Partners + Intergrations

* Identify potential partners using tools like BuiltWith or SimilarTech
* Develop co-marketing campaigns: webinars, ebooks, or joint product offerings
* List your product on software marketplaces like G2, Capterra, or GetApp

Your company's losing money if you're not 👇

1. Creating valuable content regularly
2. Using video marketing
3. Leveraging audio content
4. Investing in paid advertising
5. Offering free value to prospects
6. Actively networking and outreaching
7. Maintaining a social media presence

But you're setting your company up to fail if you're 👇

1. Ignoring long-tail keywords
2. Neglecting schema markup
3. Forgetting about backlinks from other high DR sites
5. Skipping A/B tests on landing pages
6. Ignoring mobile app store optimization
7. Overlooking forum marketing
8. Neglecting to optimize for voice search
9. Forgetting about international SEO

Remember: effective #SEO isn't just about being everywhere.

It's about reaching the right audience with the right message at the right time.

If your landing pages are not converting, your copywriting might be the culprit.
I’ve got the 3 tips to smash your copywriting --> get your conversion rates up.

Tip #1
Know who you are writing for (aka your DESIRED customers – the people most likely to buy from you).
Write like you're having a conversation with them.
A weird trick that helps me…
Imagine yourself sitting across from one of your ideal customers & say aloud what you want to write.
I’d recommend doing this in the comfort of your home.
Or if you don’t mind people think you're unhinged,
be my guest…
do it at a coffee shop. I do 🙃

Tip #2
Don't sleep on your headline – it's the first thing your visitor sees.
So what should be your headline you ask?
Great question.
Headline == your unique and irresistible offer.
For example: "Boost Your Conversion Rates by 300% with My Simple Copywriting Trick".
If you don’t have that dialed down.
Brainstorm it.
Get creative.
Add numbers.

Tip #3

Your copy == sales copy.
It must persuade.

Every line should make the reader want to read the next line.
That’s it.

Use my 3 "S" method to keep them hooked.
1- storytelling
2- social proof
3- scarcity

Don’t be afraid to test and try out new things – that's how you'll find what works best.

In short:
– engage,
– persuade,
– convert.
