Joann filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy today. It sounds like they've secured funding to be able to make it through the bankruptcy process. They're not shutting down soon, but I'm sure some store closures will happen in the near future.
In case you missed it, I did a video a little over a year ago pointing out that they were in trouble due to a lot of debt and declining sales. There's 2 very different locations featured in the video. The second location has strong 1980s beat up Kmart store vibes.
