Hey everyone! Posi here. I thought I'd do something special for the fourth anniversary of Animation Sins' final video, since (for better or for worse) it was a big part of the history if this channel, even if (and I will keep reiterating this for confused commenters!) we've never been the same team.
As such, I've decided to edit together all our Everything Wrong With Everything Wrong With videos into a single nearly two hour long supercut. It'll premiere on July 14, 2024, at 5:00 PM. Hope you enjoy!

Hey everyone! The team has been taking a break lately after our last three videos, but a new one is in the works. As of now I am unsure when it will release, but I CAN at least post a teaser frame.

Hey everyone! Posi here. I'd like to talk about two things, if you don't mind lending your ears!
First of all, I'd like to acknowledge the departure of another member of our team, Ev (also known as Gemzy). Like Omega, who's also retired, Ev has been with us since 2022, so we at Animation Wins are sad to see her go. Nevertheless, I cannot stress enough how much I appreciate her contributions and insight; she's done a great deal for Animation Wins creatively and organizationally. I'd like to wish her and Omega the best of luck in their future endeavours, and I hope you will too.
Second of all, I'd like to address a topic that's been bugging me for a while and is becoming increasingly relevant to the everyday lives of everyone in the creative world, and that is Generative AI. I recognize that's not entirely accurate as a term, especially in a technical sense, as Generative AI technology is far from meeting the threshold for what we commonly conceptualize as truly sapient artificial intelligence. As such, I'll make clear that I am broadly referring to the technologies we're seeing at play with image generation models like Dall-E, Midjourney, and Stable Diffusion, as well as text generation models like ChatGPT.
These technologies are evolving at a breakneck pace; as a result we're seeing large scale anxiety from creatives all over the world, anxiety that I believe is more than understandable. I've spoken to many people with a range of opinions on Generative AI's existence and the potential detriments and/or benefits it could bring, but I have yet to find a single person who has disagreed with me that the current unregulated, largely corporate applications of it have been predatory to creative fields, counterproductive to the spread of accurate information, and a danger to the overall privacy and safety. Let it be known here and now that I do NOT support Generative AI as we are seeing it today and as corporate entities are using it.
This is more of a philosophical issue than an ethical one, but I also do not believe AI generated text and images qualify as true writing or art, and they will not until an AI model exists that has unlocked true sapience and creativity on the level of a human. I myself am an aspiring author and recently finished writing the first draft of my debut novel, and I find the idea of a machine one day being advanced enough to create the illusion of something like it without the emotions behind it that I channeled to fuel my writing process perverse. I'm by no means trying to say my art is superior because I'm "divinely inspired" or whatever pretentious folks like to claim, but even the worst human artists have awareness and creativity driving their artistic process, and I can't imagine the same being the case for any current AI generation tool, even if some may be helpful to the creative process under certain circumstances and given certain applications.
Here at Animation Wins, we value the importance of art and creativity above all else. Every win in our scripts is written with the understanding that we are appreciating the work of someone with a clear vision and expressing our appreciation in accordance with a vision of our own. As such, to conclude, I will state in no uncertain terms that we will NOT be incorporating Generative AI into the production of our videos, and we will NOT be winning works that are AI generated instead of created by human artists. As far as I am concerned, the presence of Generative AI renders anything we would otherwise consider winning off-limits. We will do our part in ensuring a strong creative spirit stays alive in our community; in order to help ensure the creative fields are less negatively impacted by the usages of Generative AI, I encourage you to support artists' unions, especially those which are the most vicious in defending the rights and prosperity of their workers.
Thank you for reading and watching, and I look forward to a bright, hopefully human-driven future!

Our next Everything Great About, covering Desert Arena: SURVIVAL by Squared Media, will premiere at 5 PM EST Friday on May 3, 2024! This video is half an hour long, and I have worked on it for over three months; it was written, narrated, and edited entirely by myself. Hope to see you all at the premiere!

Today, we bid farewell to one of our members. Omega63 (editor of Everything Great About Hog Hunt) is stepping down from the Animation Wins team. Despite his lost interest in the channel, he has left on us the greatest of terms and I along with the rest of the team wish him nothing but the best moving forward.

Not only to praise animation, but also to defend it.
Channel created by Whovian103, currently owned by PosiWritesStories.
Animation Wins is a subsidiary project of Tridentainment (youtube.com/@Tridentainment).
P.S. We have no affiliation with Animation Sins. Our channel is run by an independent group of people who just really like animation. Glad this could be cleared up!
