Dear friends, sadly our beloved Daniel passed away on Friday January 12, 2024. He had a low grade fever on Thursday, seemed to be ok otherwise. Friday Jan 12 he woke and his condition had worsened. We called an ambulance and he was admitted to the ICU upon being evaluated.
Within a few hours his blood pressure kept dropping despite all efforts to stabilize him. Around 8 pm, sedated and intubated, he peacefully passed away.
It was sudden, unexpected, and we are devastated.

Hi everyone! It’s the Holiday Season! On Dec 4th Daniel attended the “Dream Come True of Western CT Breakfast with Santa”. At the Amber room in Danbury. We had a great time and after the event we took him to Stew Leonards and picked out our Christmas tree!
Sending our love!

Welcome to my channel, a newly "adapted" version of the "Adapted Life" by Julie Hasselberger
When I began my journal with creating content on YouTube it was based on portraying the life of a family who had a middle child born with severe disabilities. My son Daniel, was born on November 22, 1997 with a condition known as Polymicrogyria. Essentially his brain didn't form correctly from the beginning and he would face pretty significant and devastating disabilities for his life time. Life has a way of turning the world upside down and shaking it like a snow globe, and on January 12, 2024 we lost our Daniel to an unexpected illness. After sacrificing my career and devoting my life to giving him the best life possible, the world stopped. My other two beautiful wonderful children are grown and out on their own, and I was faced with unimaginable pain and loss.
This is my story. Weaving and navigating pain, loss, trauma, grief, with acceptance, love, joy and light.
