Roller Derby has become a very popular sport for skaters of all levels, unfortunately Roller Derby has a tendency to be taught game first skating skills second. When that is the situation skaters tend to focus more on skating instead of stopping a jammer or helping their teammates. The Training Academy program takes the frustration out of learning skills by breaking them down into easy to digest instruction that build on previous skills and sets skaters up to be better derby players. About Urrk'n, She learned to skate from a young age, She literally grew up in a skating rink. She started competing in Artistic skating when she was a teenager, then moved into speed skating and in 2006 started playing Roller Derby.
