I am two weeks post op after a second spinal fusion surgery and still recovering. I haven't forgotten about my work on this channel... the ACDC block issue took a little wind out of my sails but I have also been busy with my reaction channel. It's been difficult for me to sit at the computer for extended periods of time since the pain from my neck got really bad in June. It will be a few more weeks where I can sit long enough to get some real editing done. I've got some other things in life going on right now and I'm just trying to get life back to whatever the new normal is supposed to be after losing my dad in March. I will be getting back to work as soon as I possibly can!

REGARDING the ongoing dispute with the SESAC and YT ( www.headphonesty.com/2024/09/inside-youtube-sesac-… )... It seems that MANY of my previous uploads are now blocked in the United States on both channels. 😔 I had planned on getting back to uploading a compilation and reactions on the other channel, this week after vacation but this is definitely going to throw a wrench in things. Please bear with me... I am going to take this a day at a time and cross all my digits that it gets resolved quickly but until then, there likely won't be as much content being uploaded.
I presume that there will be a lot of lost revenue among the SESAC and YT that might motivate them to come to an agreement sooner, rather than later. Let's hope so, anyway. All of us "little guys" are caught in the crossfire without a thing we can do about it.

Hello everyone, just a couple of announcements to share with all of you.
First, my daughter and I are leaving Thursday, 19 September to go see my mom and step dad in Montana. Because of my parrots, it’s been 20 years since I’ve left home anywhere for longer than a day or two. It’s not easy finding anyone I trust enough to take care of them but my partner, Mike has graciously offered to do so and it’s been far too long since I’ve seen my mom. We return on 25 September. I will be working on some videos while I’m there, I’m just not sure how frequently I’ll be able to.
I know things have slowed down here on this channel lately but it can't be helped. I have been doing a lot of work for my reaction channel to get it up and running. It's been a lot of work but I am hoping some kind of balance/schedule to do both at the same time will be established over the next couple of months. Also, due to my neck pain... sitting for long periods of time in my "editing stance" is very difficult so I've been working on the current project in very short spurts. I've also been making the rounds at multiple doctor appointments which brings me to my next announcement:
I am scheduled for my second spinal fusion surgery on 25 October. Things will slow down for a bit on both channels during that time for obvious reasons.
Finally, the next few days are going to be pretty crazy for me in getting ready to leave the house for six days. Please bear with me a little longer. I really hope that life will start to normalize for me in November. 😅 It's been a crazy 6 months since my dad passed away and honestly, the most comforting thought for me is getting back to normal life with my dependable routines.

Hi everyone, hope you're well. I know it's been a while... I've had a few things going on.
First, I have been having severe pain from stenosis in my neck that's been progressively getting worse since February. The last two months have been almost constant pain where it's starting to affect my daily routines and activities. I recently had an MRI and see my surgeon in one week.
Second, I have the ACDC video that was instablocked which kind of took some wind out of my sails. I did dispute it and there's 15 days left until that expires. I think the video has been unblocked already but because I have a dispute on it, it can't go public until that's resolved.
Finally, I did launch my reaction channel two weeks ago and I've been taking some time to get things rolling with it. My compilations are a priority for sure, I just needed some time to get some momentum on the new channel. (See my post below if you missed the announcement).
Today I'm starting the process for a new video but can only sit at my computer for so long before I have to get up and do something else. I just wanted to let you all know what's been going on. I hope to have this project done in the next week but if not, I'm crossing my fingers that the ACDC video will clear.

Well… I’ve been talking about it for months and I have finally gotten my own reaction channel ready for launch.
My channel is going to be a bit different from most of the reaction channels out there today. I’m a bit older and have heard many of the greatest songs of all time. I won’t be reacting to the well-known, radio played classics we already know and love.
My focus will be more about deep diving artists I already know; listening to songs from them I don’t know and discovering new artists from all eras and genres. I may react to music you don’t particularly care for but I will be reacting to stuff my viewers suggest across all genres as well as some stuff I personally want to do. I’m making a list of suggestions I get in comments and doing them in that order but there will be a way to make a donation to get your songs skipped to the front of the line. I will provide full details on that in my descriptions and introduction video.
It’s been a lot harder of a process than I anticipated for too many reasons to get into. I’m not sure how “watchable” or interesting any of my reactions will be but I assure you of one thing right now… they’re going to be genuine. I don’t have the desire or the capacity to put on an act or pretend to feel a certain way about any song I listen to. So in that regard, my reactions may not be as exciting to watch for some. 😅
I ask you to keep an open mind, remember that music is completely subjective and come on this journey with me. Bear with me as I fine tune my dynamics and develop a practical balance between my reaction channel and my compilation channel. It’s proven to be a bit of a challenge already. Lol I likely won’t be able to release as many videos as most of them do because my compilations will still continue to be a priority.

So, for the first time ever, one of my videos was completely blocked from the jump. I have filed a dispute citing fair use exemptions and will cross my fingers it gets cleared up. Good news! I got my data back today and upon first glance, it looks like everything was recovered. INCLUDING the Boston - Foreplay Long Time video I was working on. I just have to make the "making of" portion and add finishing touches to it. They also send me a completely new drive, the same size as the old one. I certainly didn't expect that at all!
Also, I am just editing finishing commentary on another project I've been working on since the Charlie Daniels Band video. Probably will have both ready sometime tomorrow.

Music and Gaming. Two loves I've had since I was a child (which was a while ago lol)... I've played video games all my life and just never stopped. Unless I am asleep, nothing else slows my brain down like music and gaming. Music is in my list of very few things I would shrivel up and die without... Gaming allows me to concentrate on something other than real life and while it may be addictive, it's better than drugs. hahaha. Even though I have over 40 years of gaming experience on just about every medium every invented... I've never done anything like this before. Thanks for being here.
