welp, 4 months after I initially posted about it, I posted my lofi album. praying it gets algorithmed along with the others, gonna start working on another one with indie soundtracks exclusively, I’ve already started on a FAITH one and a neon white song. Any suggestions on games/songs? Obviously gonna do another undertale/deltarune one. likely another omori, probably a LISA song? Celeste? Minecraft?? so many good indie game soundtracks lol

think im going to stop listening to a bunch of video game lofi remix compilation videos and just make a playlist of the videos on the actual artists' channels. It's kinda bizarre seeing these channels get so much activity and praise when they just put together a bunch of music that isnt theirs and get 100s of thousands of views while the songs on the artists' channels are like. 1-2k.
I saw nintendo and chill post about 'being back' and so many people were excited and praising the lord for a channel that doesn't actually make anything. I can't speak for that channel specifically but the few compilations i've heard my songs in did not ask me for permission(which personally is fine, others might think differently), and didn't even tell me they put my song in their video(which is less fine lol at least tell me).
In the meantime, i've been cleaning up my older lofi songs and making new ones to post a compilation video of music that's all mine
(yes i realize these songs aren't 100% original seeing as they're all remixes but, the views/attention they do get if people like them should be given to the artists)
But yeah. obviously i wouldn't have found many of these songs if it weren't for these compilations, and likewise my lofi songs would have even less views. just a little PSA that once you hear it in a compilation and like it, try to then listen to it in a way that at least lets the artist know you enjoy them and give them a lil signal boost :)
i know most of you aren't even subbed for lofi remixes but its been my fixation lately so its on my mind and i wanted to rant about this somewhere. cheers

I thought i needed 1k subs to make these but here we are. 700 subs doesn't seem like a lot in the grand scheme of things but i bet you guys are all cool as fk. should i make a discord?
