"Peace is not the absence of storms, but the presence of God in the midst of them."
In Isaiah 48:18, God says, "If only you had paid attention to my commands, your peace would have been like a river, your well-being like the waves of the sea."
We live in a world filled with anxiety, fear, and uncertainty. Economic situations, personal struggles, and global conflicts can leave us feeling agitated and overwhelmed. But God offers us a peace that surpasses all understanding, a peace that flows like a river.
In Matthew 8:23-27, Jesus calmed the storm with just two words: "Peace, be still." And in John 14:27, He says, "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid."
This peace is not dependent on our circumstances but on our connection to God. It's a peace that guards our hearts and minds (Philippians 4:7).
So, how can we experience this peace?
1. Seek God's presence (Psalm 42:1-2)
2. Obey His commands (Isaiah 48:18)
3. Trust in His sovereignty (Romans 8:28)
4. Cast your cares upon Him (1 Peter 5:7)
5. Practice gratitude and praise (Philippians 4:6-7)
Remember, God's peace is not a distant hope but a present reality. It's a river that flows constantly, even in the midst of storms.
As you face your challenges today, know that God's peace is available to you. Receive it, trust it, and let it guide you through the storm.
Prayer: Dear God, I need your peace in my life. Please help me to trust you and experience your peace that flows like a river. Amen.

It's time for our dear country to Arise and Shine. We can achieve this when we all come together as one. Isaiah 60: 1-2 promises us that we should Arise and Shine for our Light as come and the glory of the Lord is risen upon us.
The enemy knows that it is time for our dearly beloved country to rise and shine and so out of rage and annoyance has planned to cause war and devastation in the land but we can all outsmart the common enemy of mankind - the devil and it's kingdom of darkness who for a long time has ruled over the affairs of our dearly beloved country by saying no to violence and coming together as one to accomplish the seemingly impossible.
Gen 11:1 has this to say, "And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech. And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelt there. And they said one to another, Go to, let us make brick, and burn them thoroughly. And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for mortar. And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth. And the Lord cane down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded. And the Lord said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they imagined to do. Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech. So the LORD scattered them abroad from them upon the face of all the earth and they left off to build the city."
When there is disunity there can't be progress but when we unite in unity of purpose, our strengths are unified as one to accomplish the seemingly impossible. Together we can build a new Nigeria of our dreams. Let us end at once our differences and unite as one in singleness of mind and purpose.
