Now in its 27th year, the Noosa Festival of Surfing has firmly established itself as the leading surf cultural event in the world. It is also the biggest surfing event in the world by competitor numbers (more than 900 entries from almost 20 countries and regions in 2017). With perfect longboarding waves on Noosa's famed First Point, free surf movies, live bands and cold beer and wine right on the sand, it’s the world’s best surf party. The Noosa Festival of Surfing features innovative logging events, from the Noserider & Logger Pro divisions that attract the very best surfers from all over the planet, to the surfing dogs and the array of age divisions from grommets to grandpas. Competition is fierce in the water, but on the beaches of Noosa Heads the festival is all about camaraderie, and the fun of finding kindred spirits in surf cultures from all over the world.
