tAngerinecAt are Eugene Purpurovsky & Paul Chilton - songwriters, producers, composers, & multi-instrumentalists based in Wales, UK.
Their influences range from Auktyon, Grazhdanskaya Oborona, Gesaffelstein, Son Lux, Nick Cave, My Dying Bride, to ethnic music of the Ukrainian Carpathians & films of Sergey Parajanov.
The duo toured Ukraine where they were founded, headlining shows across the country, Russia, & the UK. After moving to the UK, tAngerinecAt has extensively toured the country.
As tAngerinecAt they released two albums - Many Kettles and H.R V.I.P. In August 2021 they received a Help Musicians award to release their album "Glass" based around Eugene’s experiences as a neurodivergent person, severe trauma, acute poverty and Chernobyl disaster survivor, and a queer multiethnic refugee activist from Ukraine. Release 2022.
