I think everyone that starts a YT channel dreams of that "magical" 1K subscriber mark, myself included. It's been almost four years to the day since I started my photography channel, so it's definitely been a long, slow burn. The monetization part that some YouTubers look forward to has never been a motivation for me. What 1,000 subs means to me is that I've met (both in person and virtually) a lot of people that I am proud to call friends, and the small community of photography lovers that has followed my channel is SECOND TO NONE in my opinion. My favorite part of releasing a new video is responding to every supportive (and occasionally not so supportive) comment that is left. Thank you to everyone that has supported this endeavor over the last four years - your support has meant the world to me! More to come, stay tuned!

As many of you know, I've been house hunting in West Virginia for our upcoming move this summer, so I've been a bit out of touch. Keep those videos coming though! I might not be commenting as much, but I'm still watching - your videos are a very welcomed distraction at the end of a long day of packing and looking for the perfect home. Hope everyone is doing well and I look forward to your upcoming photography adventures!

YouTube #shorts are a funny old thing. The notification system and visibility of them absolutely suck. 1.5K views one week, 50 the next week. Just so you know, I am releasing a #shorts video every Monday for the foreseeable future, so keep an eye out for them! Here is the link to today's video...

Hey everyone! Just wanted to let you know that I'll have one more video in December (a best of 2022) and then my channel will be taking a hiatus to focus more on my photography and also on our upcoming move in summer 2023. I hope to resume my channel once we get settled in West Virginia in August next year. I also probably won't be quite as active on YouTube but I will try to watch and comment on as many videos as possible. I really appreciate the support you have given my channel over the last 2.5 years and I hope you will stay subscribed for future vlogs. -it's free to stay subscribed! Your support and comments have meant the world to me!

Happy Spooky Day! Check out my new horror movie themed #shorts video that I made after finding an unusual grouping of trees deep in my local woodland, far off the beaten path. Hope everyone has a magical Halloween!

Congratulations to my mate Dave Laffan of @LetsClickPhotography on passing the 1,500 sub mark! Fantastic and well deserved achievement! If you don't currently sub to Dave's channel, well frankly, you're missing out. Brilliant landscape photography, easy to understand tutorials, and some of the best energy on YouTube! Look who I met on the west coast of Florida - Jim Fisher from @VintageInsightPhotography ! No new video from me this morning, but Jim and I both will have new videos on our channels later this week as we photograph the old pier pilings at sunset in Naples, Florida. What a pleasure it was to meet Jim and quite an honor for me to shoot with him that evening! If you don't already subscribe to his channel, definitely click the link and do so for the best in film and digital photography as well as some amazing video editing! I hope you will check out both of our videos later this week!

Thank you for landing on my channel! My name is Paul Cook and I am a landscape photographer based in Boca Raton, Florida.
On my channel you will find weekly vlogs of my photography adventures. Aside from seeing some amazing sites and beautiful photography, I will be adding tips and tricks to those seeking to learn advanced photography techniques. From long exposure photography, to focus stacking, to photo editing in Lightroom and Photoshop, I will be uploading weekly content in the hope of inspiring people to learn the art of photography...or just to enjoy the sites and sounds of my photography travels.
Please feel free to leave me a comment in any one of my videos, hit the like button if you've enjoyed what you seen, and please hit the subscribe button to see future photography videos. Also, be sure to hit the bell button to be notified of future video/vlog uploads. Thank you for your support!
