In a particular, the moving-head type of spotlight is an attractive alternative to the spotlight-cannon for this type of application, since it offers many new features including but not limited to the ability of remote-controlling the light.
Remote-controlling the spotlight adds a few advantages that were not available before:
There is no longer the need of a dedicated structural place or balcony for the light and the operator.
