Striker Barbra Banda scored five goals as Zambia cruised into the semifinals of the 2022 HOLLYWOODBETS COSAFA Women’s Championship thanks to a resounding 7-0 victory over Lesotho at the Madibaz Stadium in Nelson Mandela Bay on Sunday.

Zambia will be back in action today when Group B resumes, as they take on the other victor from the opening round of matches, Lesotho.

That is set to be a massive clash in the pool with the winner to be in the pounds seats to advance. Kick-off at the Madibaz stadium is at 15h30 CAT.

Uganda Cranes secured qualification to next year’s African Nations Championship (CHAN) in style after overcoming Tanzania home and away. In the home game played at St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende on Saturday, the Cranes put up a spirited performance to win 3-0 and thus advancing to the final tournament 4-0 on aggregate. Moses Waiswa, Richard Basangwa and Rogers Mato scored a goal each to guide Uganda to victory.
