The fourth "Guitar Solo Studies" video lesson has just been released!
▪️ "Solo #4 - "Boss Battle" is a Pro grade solo at 172bpm in the key of F minor. The opening sweeping is tricky enough, requiring some pretty intricate 2WPS folding of the arpeggio as it doubles back on itself. The solo then proceeds through some pentatonic scalar play, to an attitude lick, then onto the finale consisting of various repeating patterns. The topic discussed in this lesson is "Building Tension" - a fantastic way of keeping listeners engaged and interested in seeing how the solo ends."

"Solo #2 "Soul Transit" is an intermediate grade solo in the key of A minor at 90bpm. It starts with some open string exploration and then moves onto some shorter licks punctuated by pauses before finally racing towards the finish with a complex run. Topics discussed include trying new genres to get out of your comfort zone, and how to use "Vocal Breaks" to make your soloing more pleasing to listeners' ears."
