This downtown stretch of the Boise River is a nice and easy 6 mile float. Starting at Barber Park, where you can rent everything you need to safely make it down the river. Not without enjoying the peace and quiet of the river, catching a fish and doing some swimming. Ending at Ann Morrison Park, where you can drop off rentals and use the shuttle bus to make it back to your parked car.
Growing up here in Boise, floating the river has always been a place for me to go and meditate. I know each rock and bend. Surrounded by nature in the middle of the city. Over the years I have heard a lot of questions. Are there any fish? How deep is it? And is it safe?.. now that this city is growing so fast. I wanted to greet everyone with this. To invite them to enjoy something from this town that is close to my heart. by helping them get the most out of it.
