Born and raised in Metro Detroit, Alex Holycross came to form Clean as Dirt in 2005. After a slew of line-up changes, drummer Joshua LeMieux joined the group in late 2007 and the duo began composing and performing early material that would mold the style characteristics attributed to CAD's debut album "They Will Remember Me."
The album was recorded at Clean as Dirt Records' studio in Leonard, MI and was mixed and mastered by revered audio engineer Joe Horsch. The blending of genre and influence in this LP posed interesting mixing scenarios and obstacles for Horsch to conquer with his modern and artistic approach.
Clean as Dirt's multi-faceted compositional method and two-person format allow for total artistic freedom and expression.
