"You can’t improve what isn’t published. - ‪@DanKoeTalks‬

Hello, friends 🫶🏽 Writing my thoughts is therapeutic for me, and I value transparency with you all. YouTube has been the one form of social media that truly felt like my own. No pressure, just a space to create what I want. Yet, it hasn't always been easy.

When your audience is very small or non-existent when starting out, it feels liberating to share what you love. But as we navigate this platform, the struggle with confidence can hit regardless of audience size. What I wasn’t prepared for was the immense amount of self-doubt and feelings of imposter syndrome that would amount to having (relatively) small success on here. We often hear stories of creators whose success seems to fuel endless creativity and confidence. However, the reality for many of us, including myself, can be quite different. Living a (sometimes lonely) life on the road, at 35 with no kids, and sharing my life online comes with its challenges. I’ve often felt disappointed by starting projects I didn't finish. But the creative process of learning, shooting, editing, and creating, is a journey I love trekking on. I just wasn’t prepared for the (mental) road to be this bumpy.

I read that people with feelings of imposter syndrome do one of two things: double down and work like crazy, or avoid it altogether. I’ve definitely been the latter. The fear that my videos won’t turn out as I envision prevents me from starting them at all. But as Dan Koe said, "You can’t improve what isn’t published." If I let over-analysis paralyze me, nothing will ever get better.

So, I’m here to tell you—and remind myself—that it’s okay to continue creating, even if the outcomes aren’t perfect. My videos will continue to cover a variety of topics, but they'll always be made with heart.
Thank you for being here and for sticking with me on this journey 💙

Been pretty sick lately- traveling nonstop caught up to me. Really hoping to get a lot more content out for you guys, but apologies I’ve been a bit mia lately. Just got back from warm-weather Thailand and now in snowy Northern Japan, Hokkaido.

Hoping to rest up and be on the mend soon! Thanks for being here! 🫶🏽
