Core branch in top IITs/NITs or CSE in Private colleges
Now that JEE Main 2025 is over, many students will face a tough choice:
CSE lena chahiye kisi achhe private college mein ya IIT/NIT ki core branch better hai?
Aapko log milenge jo kahenge,
“Mere bhaiya ka 1k rank tha Advanced me fir bhi unhone BITS Pilani ka CSE choose kiya!”
Bhai unki life, unka decision, and that’s completely fine.
Meri baat karu toh, main IIT milne par khush tha aur aaj bhi agar mujhe counselling ka mauka mile toh main IIT hi choose karunga over kisi bhi private ya NIT CSE.
Sabse important baat:
Decision aapka hona chahiye.
Relatives, dost, ya random log jo JEE ke bare mein kuch nahi jaante, aapko confuse karenge — “Bas CSE lelo kahin se bhi even private se bhi’’
But kya sach me IIT/NIT core branch lene me problem hai?
Haan, thodi si hai.
CS ke logon ke comparison me aapko extra mehnat karni padegi if you want IT jobs — jaise CS subjects padhne padenge apne core ke saath.
Lekin reality kya hai?
• Majority IIT core branch students IT companies me place hote hain, better than many private college CSE grads.
• Recently I was speaking to one of our alumni who is a senior product manager at Google US, he was saying branch doesn't matter anymore everyone knows how is the process it is so random based on random ranks.
Now if you ask how did I get to know him, it is because of the esteem network that still persists at IIT. I don't know if you can get in touch with such people from any tier 3 pvt college.
Aur socho, agar aapko sirf CSE chahiye tha, to JEE ke liye itni mehnat karne ka kya matlab tha jab seats itni kam hain?
Agar aapne ache rank ke liye itna fight kiya hai, to please sahi decision lo.
