This might be a bit of a late post, but I want to try and get Top 5 Best/Worst Nintendo Presentations out this weekend. I'm VERY close to finishing! Whichever day I get it uploaded (if I get it uploaded this weekend) will see the video go live at 2pm CT. We're almost there, guys!

So, maybe I was a bit too paranoid that yesterday’s Nintendo Direct would affect Top 5 Best/Worst Nintendo Presentations. I wouldn't exactly call this a bad Direct. Actually, I don't think it was bad at all. It just wasn't...mind blowing beyond Mario and Fire Emblem. It was just...update central.
As of Thursday night, all entries for Top 5 Best/Worst Nintendo Presentations have been completed. Obviously, yesterday’s Direct did not change anything. So all that’s left are the opening, honorable/dishonorable mentions and credits.
But, I’m still not gonna ignore yesterday’s Direct’s historical significance of being the longest general Direct to date, so I’ve decided to make this the new cutoff. I will need to re-record stuff, but it actually only affects the opening and honorable/dishonorable mentions. It hopefully won’t be long now.

I’m…conflicted.
I’m very close to finishing Top 5 Best/Worst Nintendo Presentations, and my original cutoff for entries was before the Switch 2 Direct back in April. But now Nintendo is about to do their longest general Nintendo Direct ever at 60 minutes AND it’s happening on the Super Mario series 40th anniversary. And don’t expect it to be a waste of time; it’s GOING to be one of, if not, the best general Direct ever. To release the list afterwards and not feature it would be kinda foolish. So it’s looking I might have to change the list, but I guess we’ll see.

Update on Top 5 Best/Worst Nintendo Presentations:
As of now, all I have left to edit is the #1 Best segment, the Honorable/Dishonorable Mentions, the intro segment and the credits, and it’ll be ready to go. Unfortunately for the intro segment and Honorable/Dishonorable Mentions, I don’t have the footage for those parts, so I don’t know how long that’s gonna take me since I need quite a bit of unique presentation footage. Even so, I’m very much looking forward to releasing this one!

Update on Top 5 Best/Worst Nintendo Presentations:
Been a bit since I last updated you guys on this. At this time, I am currently in the editing phase of this video. However, I only have two segments complete and nearing completion on a third. The reason it’s taking me so long to complete the video (apart from just life in general) is, while I have gathered footage of all ten presentations that I will be talking about in the video, I cannot say the same for any other footage. I didn’t realize how much and what specific footage I would need for this video, so I’m basically gathering this extra footage as I’m editing so I know what I need, how long it needs to be and where to specifically put it in the video.
I don’t know if I’ll have this video ready by the time the Switch 2 releases, but I will say this (and I’ll reiterate this in the video): The Nintendo Switch 2 Direct from the start of April 2025 will NOT be considered for the video to avoid recency bias, positive or negative. I do have opinions on it, but I think this’s a fair compromise.
I’m planning on releasing a sneak peek of the countdown next month (mainly to keep monetization up), but I’m really enjoying what I’ve been working on and can’t wait to share it!

It's the new year, so I think it's time for an update on where I'm going with the channel going into this new year.
I took the rest of December off from anything channel-related to rest from working on the Key Reviews for Kirby Air Ride. But now it's time to reveal the next countdown:
Top 5 Best/Worst Nintendo Presentations
With Nintendo on the verge of revealing the Switch successor, I figured it was a good idea to look back at how Nintendo presented new stuff to us and see what worked and what didn't. Originally, I wanted to do a Top 10 Nintendo Directs video, but I didn't know how to make that idea interesting for 20-30+ minutes. So I decided to include other Nintendo presentations like E3 press conferences to spice things up. And from that, I got the idea to do a worst Nintendo presentations list. But recently, I began ranking the ones I found, and.....while there're enough choices for a top 10 best list, there weren't for the worst list. As a result, I'm doing this idea as a double top 5, so look forward to that.
After the double top 5, I plan to do the next RWBY Volume Reviews. With the RWBY IP now owned by VIZMedia and away from the Bros., I'm hopeful for the future of the series. So much so that I really got an itch to get to work on the Volume 3 review!
After that, my plans are either the next countdown or the next Key Reviews. Don't know which will come first; it'll just be whatever I feel like doing.
And of course, with the Switch's lifecycle winding down, I'll obviously do a Top 10 Favorite Nintendo Switch Games at some point, but because there were quite a few remakes made for the thing, I'm also wanting to do a Top 10 Nintendo Switch Remakes list (probably just the 1st party stuff, though...and there's still a lot to choose from). But these two lists are further down the line, not to mention there are still games that could potentially make the list that I haven't played yet. So who knows when they'll be released, whether I decide to make the Favorite Switch Games list the next list after the double top 5 or save it and the remakes list for later.
So, yeah, that's the roadmap for new content on the channel. But, knowing my track record, it's gonna take quite a while to get it all done...Anyway, I hope you all had a happy holidays! Until next time, this is ChaosKey signing out!

Good news! I've only got one segment of the Key Reviews on Kirby Air Ride left to edit! Once that's finished, all I have to do is put all the segments together, check the audio and then render it to be ready to upload. Don't know how long it's gonna take me, but my plan is to release the review next month. So stay tune!
