Using ancient instruments of Mexico, Yetlanezi unites the ceremonial past with the digital future and brings the sounds of the earth to the virtual world.
Yetlanezi began with the second generation of the Borsegui family, the first that began with the formation of the Huehuetl Group in the 1970 by Isaac Borsegui. By fusing the traditional rhythms and instruments of Mexico, Yetlanezi crossed the traditional ceremonial aesthetic to electronica and created modern ancient-sounding theatrical scores that provoke the emotions.
Yetlanezi are Ce Acatl and Topiltzin Borsegui.
Their first official album was Yetlanezi (2013), a self-produced self-titled album that had toured Mexico and the United States during previous years.
Yetlanezi is a Yacatsol Records (yacatsol.com) production, a cross-border music project by Xica Media (xicamedia.com).
