English artist Albert 'Bert' Irvin is renowned for his vibrant and colourful abstract paintings and prints. This video offers a rare opportunity to see inside his Stepney Green studio in London's East End, where the Royal Academician has been working for the last four decades.
In the video, Irvin discusses his journey as an artist and his dedication to the practice of art. The artist also talks about his latest works for the solo exhibition Fidelio at Gimpel Fils in London (26 July -- 1 September 2012), the thinking behind the exhibition and his belief in painting as a medium to communicate life, love and humanity.
