We are a co-ed, student-run a cappella group from the University of Chicago. We are comprised of both undergrads and graduate students, and we've been around for 24(!!!) years as of the 2020-21 school year. We have recorded a number of CDs, both live and in-studio, and we organize a week-long cross-country tour every other year.
Songs from our CDs have garnered attention from various a cappella reviewers and fans across the country. We compete annually in the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella (ICCA), and we've sung at weddings, festivals, and all sorts of other events.
In the words of one of our awesome alumni, "We sing for ourselves." Ransom Notes is about making beautiful music while having an amazing time, and then sharing our love of a cappella with you, our audience!
