👉 Should we switch to shorter, more frequent uploads on this channel?
Instead of longer videos, we’d post about two smaller uploads a week — each with around 5 tracks, based on themes like: New Indie Folk, Acoustic Indie Folk, Chill & Moody Indie Folk, Indie Folk Roadtrip…and more! These would be added to playlists per theme, and we’d move the New Indie Folk series (with 25 tracks) to our new channel.
Why this question?
Since YouTube 'killed' our channel about a year ago, a lot has stood still here. And new videos don't really reach our audience the way they would have without the YouTube error. So I'm thinking about a change here, to see if that could trigger anything, but also to keep those who are still following up-to-date with new releases. So what you do think? Next to that, we're still trying to fix the YouTube mess with YouTube Support, fingers crossed, but since nothing has changed in the last year, I'm not expect much of their help in this matter.. but you never know! 🙏

Hey everyone! 👋 Yesterday I released the final IFC compilation of the year on our new channel @indiefolkcentralMusic This week I’m wrapping up the Best of 2024 series, which will start rolling out in early January on the new channel Some of the songs in that lineup aren’t even released yet! In the previous years I released the "the best of" series between Christmas and New Year, but I wanted to take a holiday break this year and focus on family time! The first volume will drop on January 6th, and I’m truly impressed by how amazing this year’s music has been. Indie Folk Central, discover the best new indie folk ✨ Since June 2024, our channel has been struggling with an error in YouTube’s recommendation system, causing videos to reach fewer listeners. The error has been acknowledged by YouTube Support and they assured us they're working on a fix, but after all these months, we’re unfortunately still waiting for a change.
That’s why we launched a second channel @indiefolkcentralMusic , where we are sharing themed indie folk curations. We’ll continue releasing the New Indie Folk videos here and keep pushing for a solution, hoping YouTube will resolve this issue. Thanks for sticking with us!
