A few things: My relationship with Cities: Skylines 2 and streaming on YouTube.
To those of you that have been enjoying the Workers & Resources: Soviet Republic streams here on YouTube: Thank you for watching! Feel free to come hang out on Twitch for future streams.
I know this channel and myself are primarily known for Cities: Skylines content. I still love Cities: Skylines, and when the time is right I will make more Cities videos AND livestream building here on YouTube.
At the moment CS2 is not developed to a point where I can create the way I want. My favorite creations in CS1 were largely the result of many mods that made it possible to make realistic traffic lights, specify turn lanes, and download unique roads and other networks to satisfy a given concept. I had hoped these things would be built into the base game of CS2, but I expect we will have to wait for the release of the CS2 mod platform. I know there are unofficial channels to install CS2 mods, but I’m wary of recommending others install mods this way.
I’m confident that the future of Cities: Skylines 2 is bright for many reasons. The developers are hard at work making the game great, and taking community feedback extremely seriously. The technical ceiling of the game is head and shoulders above CS1. Many of the same mod and asset creators from CS1 are currently hard at work developing creations for CS2. CS1 has nearly a decade of development and it will take time for CS2 to catch up.
I will absolutely make videos about Cities: Skylines 2 as I feel inspired. I simply don’t want to burn out playing something that isn’t closer to its final form. I don’t think it will take long, but we’re not quite there. In the mean time feel free to join me playing other great games! Its a big world, and life is too short to limit ones self to just one game. Thank you for reading.
I’ll see you in the next stream

I want to hear your opinion! How do you feel about watching livestreams on YouTube?
I also stream on Twitch, but lately I’ve been multi-streaming on both platforms. How do you feel about livestreams vs my more typical edited videos? Do you watch others play games live, or is that not your thing?
I’m curious how the Cities Skylines community feels overall. Feel free to comment to clarify the nuance in your opinion!

Train Station Start! Have you ever wanted to realistically develop a city that started from a train station? Many cities in the world have started this way, and I think it’s time we were able to do it in Cities: Skylines!
On todays stream we will be exploring and testing this idea in hopes of developing a map that starts with a simple train station!
Stream starts a few hours from this posting. See you there!
