Heliot Ramos should represent the #SFGiants in the All-Star Game. He’s been on 🔥 in June, hitting (.387) w/7HRs, 18 RBI, 10 extra-base hits. Ramos has 31 RBI in 36 games. He absolutely crushes lefties (.438 w/.568 on base%). Really great dude too. Here’s my interview from ‘23 spring training in Scottsdale w/Heliot. You root for guys like this. I tune in every night to watch this guy hit. He is truly a 5-tool ballplayer
Klay Thompson unfollowed the #Warriors and deleted almost all team-affiliated posts dating back to April 2022. I love Klay, but it’s time for him to go. He will always feel disrespected here because he’ll define respect solely based on his contract.
Quick thoughts from the #49ers minicamp:
-Brock Purdy is really taking more of a leadership role this year.
-Cody Schrader had an excellent explosive run down the sideline. Schrader is legit.
-Brayden Willis looks much improved and is the likely TE2
-Purdy to Pearsall will
Be tough to stop this year
-Malik Mustapha and Renardo Green are excellent additions to the secondary
-Fred Warner told us that Dee Winters is the most advanced of the Niners’ young LBs
-Darrell Luter Jr looks amazing
-Shakel Brown and Evan Anderson are two interesting young DTs
-Drake Nugent practices with fire and looks good
-Trent Williams, Nick Bosa And George Kittle attended but didn’t practice
Can someone explain to me the #49ers wisdom in waiting for Justin Jefferson to reset the WR market to an AAV of $35M BEFORE signing Aiyuk? Aiyuk is now a lock to want $30M per, which likely destroys Paraag’s budget plan. Why not be proactive? Is an Aiyuk trade coming? Deebo? Steelers’ media people seem to think so
Some quick thoughts on #49ers OTAs:
-Purdy looks primed for his career year. Stronger, smarter, and more sudden.
-Josh Dobbs is rangy and athletic, but I think Brandon Allen and Tanner Mordecai are better QBs and have a chance
To beat him out in the preseason.
-Cody Schrader looks better every time I see him
-Isaac Guerendo has more WR and FB traits than he has RB traits
-JP Mason looks primed for a breakout campaign
-Ricky Pearsall will become a 3rd down monster.
-Jacob Cowing will emerge as a very significant player and will become a favorite of Purdy.
-Mason Pline reminds me of a taller Brent Jones. Smart, competitive, good hands. Very Underrated athlete
-Dominik Puni and Spencer Burford should battle in July/August for #1 RG spot
-Prediction: Feliciano, Nugent or Kingston will beat out Jake Brendel for starting Center job
-Leonard Floyd/Nick Bosa will be a super productive DE combo. Both will finish w/10+ sacks.
-DT-Jordan Elliott was an underrated addition. Very strong with quick feet.
-Evan Anderson (#60) looks explosive and strong and will make the final 53 at DT
-Jaylen Graham is an absolute star in the making at ILB.
-Malik Mustapha and Renardo Green will both play significant roles as rookies in SF’s secondary, both have ALPHA type personalities.
-Darrell Luter Jr. will start outside opposite Mooney Ward at CB and will make dramatic strides in his 2nd year. Luther’s high level talent and athleticism really stand out on practice field.
The highlight of #49ers minicamp was a deep crosser from Purdy to Jacob Cowing. Purdy loves to push the ball downfield, and already has a trust in Cowing. Cowing creates separation vertically w/relative ease and can catch in a crowd. This duo will be prolific if Cowing stays healthy.
